JOSÉ OSTO

As an art historian and young artist, I move through a world where the bizarre and the geometric merge in a provocative manner.

My passion for art has been with me since my early years, as I began developing my artistic skills. My special fascination for, and dedication to sculptural art, assemblage, and art installations expanded during my studies of Art-Media-Cultural Education at the Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. In fact, plastic arts was the main discipline I dealt with in my practical bachelor thesis. Other disciplines such as new media and graphic art were also essential components of my artistic formation. Studying art history opened up a wide range of possibilities that boosted my ability to "see reality differently" and honed my sense of materiality, textures and forms.
